Looking for additional information? Download the Knot and Hound Press Co. Vendor Guide, which includes information about the design process and timelines, investment and anticipated pricing, customization options, as well as the detailed terms of design contracts.

  • Of course! During the initial steps of the semi-custom design process, you’ll have the opportunity to indicate any custom illustrations you’d like to add into your semi-custom stationery, and we will discuss how best to do this.

  • Yes! In addition to Save the Dates, invitations, and day-of goods, Knot and Hound can also accommodate…

Private events, corporate gatherings, baby showers and birthday parties, galas, commercial and branded paper, and more!

  • Of course! We’ll need to plan a little extra time to account for extended shipping, but other than that — your stationery can be shipped anywhere!

  • I recommend ordering additional sets at least 10% of your invitation quantity, plus extras for keepsakes. For instance, if you’re planning on mailing 100 invitations, order 10-15 additional sets just in case you decide to invite someone not on your original list later on, or if a guest is forgotten. It happens!

Additionally, the USPS - while a wonderful institution - is not perfect. Occasionally, a few envelopes get mailed out and never reach their destination, or are delayed by the postal system. If this happens, you will have several extras on hand, all they need is an address! If you have chosen to have your invitations mailed by me on your behalf, I keep several copies on hand and can re-mail any delayed envelopes on your behalf in 1 - 2 business days.

  • As soon as you make a decision about which designer you’d like to work with, you should start booking your suite! With a surge in weddings, designers’ schedules are filling more quickly than usual. To be sure you have adequate time to plan, design, print and send your invitations, you should book your invitations at least 4 months before your mail-by date - more if you are planning a destination wedding, or if you would like a fully custom suite with lots of commissioned art!

  • I recommend at least 10 - 12 weeks from your event date, and 12 - 14 weeks or more if you’re hosting a destination wedding, or there will be extensive travel for many of your guests.

  • All Knot and Hound designs are hand-inked by me with additional elements curated from oil paintings and other fine art, vintage botanical drawings, and more!

  • The short answer to this is no.

Due to the nature of my illustrative work, I need to be involved during the print process every step of the way to ensure that the designs are captured on paper as intended. However, if you would like to use a design element from your wedding invitations on a material that I do not offer, I can happily help you work with a supplier and follow their instruction on how to create a design file that would print well with their setup!

The fee for file setup for outside print is $40+, depending on what types of alterations need to be made (i.e. flat printing on napkins vs. an acrylic sign engraving require much different amounts of work and preparation!)
